We've decided on Calvin for the baby's name and we felt like he needed a Hobbes. We found ones on etsy for like $50 but I wasn't willing to spend that much so Eric found a free pattern online and I found videos that taught me how to crochet and read crochet patterns and after 4 long days of crocheting every moment that Silas would let me we have our own Hobbes for way cheap! I'm very proud of him and really hope we see the baby and still want to name him Calvin.
We've got a little over three weeks left and I'm so excited for the 21st to get here! I'm getting pretty uncomfortable at this point. I've finally stopped throwing up for the most part but I'm still dizzy and weak almost everyday. All of my projects that needed to get done are either done or just about there but I still feel a little unprepared.  I still just wish he'd get here!

My wonderful new clubs. I've only gotten to use them once but it's okay because the belly makes swinging a little awkward. Aren't they pretty?!

5 Weeks Left!

Happy Valentines Day! We had a GREAT day. Eric had the day off so we were all able to sleep in and have a nice big pink breakfast together. Once again Eric spoiled me and got me my own set of golf clubs! I LOVE them! Sorry no picture of them but they're very pretty. I don't really know how to golf but I enjoy faking it. We go to the driving range and give Silas the hand-me-down club he got from his cousin Ryan, tie him up so he can't run away and he enjoys himself yelling and laughing at us.
Only 5 weeks from tomorrow we'll be going to the hospital to have my C-section! I am so excited for these next 5 weeks to be over! I'm getting real uncomfortable. I don't look as big as other girls but I swear it's because the boy is CRUSHING my insides. And I really think I can feel him giving me punches to the kidneys everyonce in a while and makes me flinch like I'm a crazy person. We're close to being completely ready. We had to order minky fabric online because JoAnns had a limited selection. We also had issues finding a SF Giants onesie for him to wear home. I'm having to make my own. We ordered a nice iron on logo and I'm ordering a orange onesie and he'll have his going home outfit. It feels good to be so ready so early!

I've finished the hats and I LOVE them. I'm so proud! I especially love the football one.

What a lame weekend we've had! Our little family caught a cold some where and been miserable all weekend. I hate being prego and sick because I can't take anything so I'm up all night coughing. Lame! I feel like Silas and I have been taking turns being sick the last month and I'm really looking forward to not having a sick kid and having the energy to entertain him. But while sick in bed I did relearn to knit. My goal is to make this hat...

for the baby to wear in the hospital because I hate the pink and blue ones they give you. They look more pink than blue. I've made two attempts so far. The first one could almost fit Silas and the second needed some tweaking. As they say third times the charm (hopefully!).
Oh just found this one and need to make it too

And here's Silas, sick, watching Toy Story.

So we're getting closer to the new kid's arrival! I've been doing a little nesting and stressing about getting ready. I still have a long list of things to get done but yesterday I went nuts and attacked my craft area so that I can now get to sewing bassinet sheets in a clutter free area.

I didn't take a before picture but this is a HUGE improvement. We also got furniture moved around, peepee teepees made, and some shopping done. I finally found a diaper bag that I think will be big enough. I finally gave up the idea of having a really cute one that doesn't look like a diaper bag. They were all just so expensive and I realized how dirty my current bag gets and I would be super paranoid about things spilling in the cute bag. Someday I'll get to carry a pretty bag again. For now we're going big and easy to clean.
Today's goal is to get all the baby clothes washed and put away.
