Baby Moon

So a couple of months ago we were watching Scrubs and they were talking about Baby Moons. It's a trip that a couple goes on before they have their baby as their last little trip as just the two of them. It worked out nicely for us that Mark and Mary got us a gift card to Alderbrook Resort for Christmas and we decided to wait until our last weekend in Washington to use it and call it our baby moon. We had Friday off from work so we headed up there that afternoon. On the way to the resort we stopped at Zions Camp (the church's girls camp) so Eric could show me the HUGE rope swing he remembered from when he was a Scout.

Eric was a little disappointed when we got there and the swing didn't turn out to be as big as he remembered. After walking all over the camp Eric felt like his feet were going to fall off. Oh I need to explain Eric's foot pains. Eric's planning on running the Dam Marathon June 12 (two days before the baby's due date) and has been training for it this winter. A couple of weekends ago Eric did a 14 mile run in his Nike Shox which we later found out are not good running shoes. We're not sure what acutally happened to his feet but they're pretty messed up. He hasn't been able to run since that day. Our plan is to get his feet checked out at the student health center when we get back up to Idaho. Any-who after walking around Zion's Camp Eric's feet were super sore so we just headed up to the resort and spent the rest of the day relaxing and having a very nice dinner.

While walking around the resort a little bit we found this sign and thought it was very clever

And this was the view from our bed. It was really neat waking up and seeing the mountains perfectly. The next day we went and played at Cushman but I'm getting tired of loading pictures. So that was our baby moon and now if only the next two months would hurry up so we can have our baby. (sorry about the sideways pictures i couldn't figure out how to turn them)

Baby Shower

So here are the pictures from the baby shower finally. Mary did a great job with the diaper cake and decorations. Everything looked so great and it was a lot of fun.
